Happy Friday everyone! With rain in the area coming, we have a few tips when it comes to your lights, and why they might go out. One of the most common reasons for this is the GFI plug tripping. These are ground fault plugs with little buttons on them, commonly in bathrooms or garages. If this type of plug senses moisture, it will cut off. Try pushing the button on the plug, which will reset it.
However, if there’s recently been a storm, you may have to let the plug dry out completely before it will cut back on. Another thing to remember is that if your power goes out, and you don’t have a battery-powered timer for your lights, the timer settings will also be reset. We recommend timers with backup batteries for this reason.
We hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to send them below and we’d be happy to help. Have a great weekend!
