Hey guys! My name is Garrett. I was born and raised in Shreveport and live here with my three children, Gunner, Gage, and Georgia Claire. I started my career working for the Shreveport Fire Department and took horticulture classes on the side. This is where Matthews Landscape started as a side business to support my family and fund a hunting habit! After 11 years on the fire department, I left to focus on the landscape business full-time. Customer service has always and will always be my main concern.

Operations Manager

I’m Johnathan, and I came to Matthews looking for something different and found just that. I started as an hourly employee and was able to work my way into management. I’m responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of all of our services. With our crazy weather, there are always issues to stay on top of and new things to figure out. I enjoy being a part of this journey and playing a role in the growth and success of Matthews. When I’m not at work, I like shooting guns, cooking meat, fishing, and just being outside.

Hey, y’all! I’m Donna and I started at Matthews in 2020 as an Account Manager, moved into marketing, and am now the manager of the Marketing and Sales teams. When I’m not at work, I’m spending my days with my family, reading, pursuing my MBA, or exercising. At Matthews, we really are a big family. We love to have a good time while providing the best lawn and pest services in the industry!

Hey guys! My name is Ashley and I have worked for Matthews since 2015. In the past, I worked at various restaurants and other customer service positions but now beautiful lawns and landscapes are my passion! I’m a bit of a jack of all trades around here. I’ve held positions in the field, office, dispatch, and billing. I knew nothing about green grass or plants nor did I care but that has all changed since working here! I am married to Seth and have two beautiful daughters, who are my reason for everything!

Hey, I’m Ashley! My husband and I moved to Shreveport with our son from Washington State in June of 2022. I came to Matthews looking for something new to go along with our new adventure here in Shreveport. I love being a mom and a new wife along with spending time in the kitchen baking anything I can find a new recipe for.

Hello, I am Michael part of the marketing team here at Matthews.  I have been doing Marketing for the last 15 years or so.  Before that I was in the Air Force for 10 years.  When I am not here I like hanging out with my family, cooking, music, reading, and getting outdoors.

Hi y’all! My name is Meg and I’m a content creator at Matthews. I have a background in digital art and animation, and I’ve been here since June 2023. I love to create, learn, and try new things constantly. Being here has given me exactly that! When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends, drawing, and hanging out with my parakeet, Star.

Hey y’all! My name is Alexis. I joined the Matthews team in June of 2020, and am truly blessed to be part of this wonderful team. I was hired on as a receptionist at seven months pregnant during a pandemic – crazy I know! After getting back from maternity leave, I worked my way into being the Billing Manager. I cover everything financially for all of our wonderful customers. When I’m not working, I’m spending all the time I have with my husband, Frank, and watching our lovely son, Kannon, grow up so fast.

My name is Katie and I’ve been the Dispatcher at Matthews since August 2020. I have two girls, Ryleigh and Reagen, and they are the LOVES of my life and my most favorite people in the whole wide world! I like lots of Netflix and chill (like actually chill, ha) and eating snacks. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and my boyfriend, Daniel.

Hey y’all! My name is Kate and I work in inside sales at Matthews! I joined the amazing Matthews team in 2021 with a background in fashion, knowing absolutely nothing about landscaping. I enjoy my Matthews family and providing positive customer service. When I’m not at work, I love attending live concerts, collecting records, thrifting, and hanging with friends.

Hey! My name is Madison and I joined the Matthews team in March 2022 on the inside sales team. I am excited to have the opportunity to learn new things. I have a 3 year old corgi named Nellie who is spoiled rotten and my best friend. When I am not at work I enjoy hunting and fishing with my dad and spending time with my family.

My name is Rico and I’m the mechanic here at Matthews. I originally started in 2013 and I like the Bossman and people here and it’s just a good place to be. My favorite plant is the Shi Shi – I have several of them at home. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing with my granddaughters.

Pest Control Manager

Hey! My name is Dylan. I manage things on the Pest & Termite side of Matthews. I’ve been in this industry since 2014 and have enjoyed every moment of it and the challenges it can bring. I enjoy interacting with clients and providing solutions to keep their homes pest and termite free! Ever since joining the Matthews team I have felt welcomed as if we were family. Outside of work, I enjoy being outside, spending time with family, and detailing vehicles.

Irrigation Foreman

Hi, my name is David and I am the Irrigation Foreman at Matthews Landscape & Pest. I was the second employee ever hired and have been here from the beginning, serving in all aspects of the business. I specialize in irrigation, but also enjoy working on landscape lighting, fountains, and water features. I live in Shreveport with Kim and our two sons.

My name is Will and I’m the Fert Manager here at Matthews. I started here in 2018 and really like the people I work with. My favorite plant is the agapanthus. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my two kids, Kyle and Madison, and hanging out with friends.

Hi, I’m Alex and I started at Matthews in March 2014 on the lawn fertilization team.

I’m Barry and I started working at Matthews in April 2019. I really like that I get to travel throughout the region. Although there are always some of the same places, there is something new to see and learn. I really enjoy the time I spend with my family. I think that children are only children for a short time and I do not want to miss it. We joke all the time and like to go everywhere together.

My name is Rolando, or Rolo for short. I’m one of the Crew Leaders at Matthews and have been here since January 2017. My favorite thing about working here is all the special people I have met and get to meet. My favorite plant is the Shi Shi. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
