Now’s a good time to show some examples of lawn fungus and how it looks in its various stages and forms. If you notice something similar in your grass, it’s worth looking into and possibly checking with a professional.
Take-all root rot: Lime green grass, uneven patches of brown/gray/yellow blades, thinning grass
Brown patch: Symmetrical circles of brown/yellow/tan grass that expand
Some other issues such as chinch bugs can look similar, so you’ll want to make sure it’s fungus before you treat. When you know for sure, it should be treated with fungicide immediately to try and save your lawn.
