Tropicals Are NOT Dying!

We already mentioned what’s going on with hydrangeas, but today we’re going to talk about tropical plants. Tropicals include plants such as banana plants, cannas, agapanthus, and many more. With all of the cold weather we’ve been having, you’ve probably noticed that they’re looking pretty sad. But fear not! This is a all part of their cycle. Tropical plants are mostly water and when that water freezes, the plant loses its crispness and becomes a little gooey (not the good kind). All that needs to be done is a little maintenance. You’ll want to trim the stalk at an angle, about 6 inches from the ground. They will come back in the summer and you’ll be able to enjoy them again. If you have any questions about your tropical plants, just let us know!
