Trimming Agapanthus

Need some Agapanthus maintenance tips? Look no further. We all enjoy the pop of color Agapanthus adds to our landscape. They are a perfect filler between blooming plants. They bloom in May through June, and they begin to fizzle out by the end of July. The blooms will fall off and seed pods will begin to grow in their place. You can wait until the seed pods fall off or go ahead and trim. You can use hand shears or scissors. You want to trim the stalk about 1-2 inches above the heart of the plant. In addition, it’s always important to clean up the dead leaves as well.
