If you suffer from the awful Dallis grass weed, now is the time to attack it! Lawns are still somewhat dormant right now, so the Dallis grass is easier to spot. It grows in clumps and creates a sort of a crown. Pre-emergents are not effective on Dallis grass simply because its root system goes so deep. The best way to treat it is to spray the center of the crown with round-up. Don’t go overboard with it so you can make sure that you don’t kill a large amount of turf grass around it. When your grass does come out of dormancy, it will begin to fill the bare spot as it grows. Hope this helps and if you have any questions, let us know!
