Spurge: A Common Lawn Weed

by | Aug 22, 2022 | Articles, Newsletters | 0 comments

This warm-seasoned weed is extremely common in our area. Spotted spurge grows low to the ground in thick mats across the lawn. Spurge thrives in thin or dry areas that can be caused by poor irrigation or simply forgetting to water. When treating spurge, use a liquid herbicide, such as MSN. Make sure your equipment is calibrated and the proper amount of chemical is applied. It’s easier to kill spurge when it is young, but it can also be prevented with pre-emergents. We hope this helps, and be sure to check out our knowledge base for more tips: matthewslandscape.com/search
