Prepping Pots The Right Way

Did you know there’s a right and wrong way to do larger pots? When doing pots, it’s easy to just want to fill them up with dirt. If you do it that way, you’re likely to get that nasty coffee-colored water leaking all over your patio and that could potentially cause a nasty stain that’s hard to get rid of. When you’re first starting a pot, you really want to get you some weed fabric. Cut a piece and place it in the bottom of the pot. The next thing you should do is fill the pot 1/3 of the way up with wash gravel. On top of the wash gravel, cut another piece of weed fabric and put it over the gravel. Then you’ll want to put in your dirt and plants. This will help filter the water in your pots and keep it from being so nasty. If you have any questions about your pots, let us know!
