Pests are beginning to come out and wreak havoc. Make sure that you are doing all you can to protect your home from incoming bugs. Dylan has some tips for you guys:
– Make sure that you don’t just spray the perimeter of your home. Spray at least 2 feet up the exterior wall as well as 2 feet out into the yard. This will create a wide barrier to keep the pests out.
– Make sure that you’re also treating the window and door jams. These are perfect entry points for all kinds of creepy crawlies.
– Along with treating the window and door jams, make sure all of your weather seals are still in working order. That means check for cracks or damage that could create openings.
– Don’t forget the weep holes. These are small openings in between bricks above the slab of your home that allow moisture to escape the walls. Weep holes are another one of those perfect entry points for pests to get inside.
– Be careful about what you’re bringing inside. Some pests, like German roaches and spiders, like to hitch rides on items like cardboard boxes. On the inside of your home, make sure that you aren’t leaving crumbs or other food sources out.
– Be proactive about water leaks. They provide a great water source for bugs to survive.

Just a few tips for you guys for keeping your home pest free!
