Mulching your yard actually has more to do with the equipment you mow with instead of an actual technique you use. Most mowers do one of three things to the grass. They blow or discharge it out of the side, catch it in a bag or mulch it. To mulch make sure all of the openings in the deck of the mower are closed off. Also make sure you have a proper mulching blade installed as well. They are curved like the one shown in the video. Now, as you mow the grass, it is chopped into several smaller pieces and dropped back into the ground. This organic material decomposes and provides nutrients to the soil.
