Now that everyone is gearing up for the summer, we have a few reminders for mowing your lawn:
- Make sure you take care of your mower by doing regular maintenance. Changing the oil, replacing or sharpening your blades, checking air filters, and cleaning the mower itself are important to prolonging your mower’s life.
- Make sure that you don’t mow in the same direction every time. This will cut down on what is called “tracking.” Tracking creates small divots in your lawn from going over the same patterns over and over. So switch it up a little!
- Make sure when you’re weed eating that you are careful not to go too low and expose the grass roots.
- When blowing away grass clippings, please be kind and don’t blow them into the street. This can cause city drainage to back up and well as make a massive safety hazard for motorists, especially those on motorcycles.
