Happy hump day! We’ve gotten a few questions about our lawn applications and running sprinklers, so we wanted to clarify some things.

Normally, we tell customers to water after a lawn treatment such as fungicide or fertilizer, but it’s still so wet out right now. We changed our formula slightly so this round of treatment doesn’t need to be watered in immediately, so the next time it rains should be enough. We don’t want to introduce extra moisture to the grass right now, because we are in peak fungus season. You don’t need to run your sprinklers if you had or are going to have a Matthews lawn application at this time.

Lawn fungus thrives on moist soil and fluctuating temperatures. If you do notice patches of brow/yellow/gray grass it could be lawn fungus. You’ll want to confirm it with a professional to rule out pests and start a fungicide treatment as soon as possible.

We hope this helps and we’re sorry for any confusion. If you have any further questions, please let us know below or give us a call at 318-286-0967. We’d love to hear from you. Have a good rest of your day!
