It’s time to trim your roses! Roses are an extremely popular blooming shrub in our area. Trimming roses only happens twice a year. Late January to mid-February is one of the times that you can and then again around August is the only other time of year that it’s okay to trim them. You can trim them with hand pruners or a hedge trimmer. You’ll want to trim them to about half of their size. This trim is going to promote new growth for the spring-blooming season.
