Check out this how-to video on trimming roses by hand. Not all of us have power trimmers to take care of our roses. But thats okay, you don’t have to have them! When trimming roses by hand all you need are some hand pruners and some gloves. In August (when this video was taken) you are going to want to trim them to about half their size. Make sure you also trim away any dead stems that you see. Take care and use gloves to avoid getting poked. Emily had to learn the hard way. Hope this helps!
