Here’s An Example Of Freeze Damage On A Shrub

Here is an example of some more frost damage that we have seen. Most plants and shrubs that we have in our area aren’t built for the freezing weather that we had a little while back. With this example, only the new growth was affected. Plants that were damaged the most included tropical plants, ornamental grasses, annual color, and newly planted plants. Most plants that suffered damage, like the photo, will just have some foliage damage. You can either give the plant a quick trim or just leave it alone and let the dead leaves fall off. Most plants that had damage will come back in the spring with no issues. Hope this helps and if you have any questions, let us know!
