Fig Ivy After The Snow Storm

by | Mar 10, 2021 | Articles, Newsletters | 0 comments

Another plant that took a beating after all the snow is Fig Ivy. Fig ivy is a popular plant used on trees and especially walls on houses. While the ivy looks dead, the vines attached to the wall or tree may still be alive. The dead foliage will need to be removed from the vines in order to promote new growth. This is another one of those plants that you don’t have to wait until spring to take care of. Remember to be careful though when removing the dead foliage, you don’t want to accidentally pull the vines off of the wall.  After a while you will start to see new growth and you’ll have your beautiful wall of fig ivy back!
