Don’t FALL behind on sprinkler system adjustments.
Now that fall is in full swing, you should be adjusting your sprinkler systems to avoid over-watering. Your lawn still needs one inch of water total per week, but now it’s raining regularly again. To avoid over-watering, you’ll need to adjust how long your sprinkler system runs. We recommend using a rain gauge to check how much water the grass is getting from rain, and then use your sprinkler system to get the TOTAL water to one inch per week. This is a delicate balance during the fall because over-watering can lead to lawn fungus and stressed-out grass. Right now is when you want to ensure your grass is as healthy as it can be before it goes dormant this winter.
If you’re having trouble with your sprinkler system or aren’t sure if it’s running as efficiently as it could be, we’re here to help. We can offer a sprinkler system assessment for a $100 flat fee. During an assessment, we inspect the entire system, determine how many zones you have, and then run all the zones to check how they’re working. Once we know how your system is performing, we will recommend a plan of action based on your needs.
