Don’t Chop Off The Blooms of Your Loropetalums!

by | Feb 1, 2021 | Articles, Newsletters | 0 comments

Loropetalums are a common shrub which are easily recognizable by their purplish leaves.  They provide a whimsical look, but some people like to keep them very manicured by trimming them into a certain shape.  If you are itching to trim your loropetalums, try to resist.  They bloom little pink flowers!  Right now, they should have their blooms or will be getting them very soon.  Trimming them will cut those buds right off, and you won’t be able to enjoy the flowers in a few months.  It’s best to trim them in the summer AFTER their flowers have fallen off.  If you have any questions, let us know!
