We’re back with another Pest Control: Myth or Fact. This time we’re talking about cockroaches, a very common and annoying pest to deal with.
Roaches can enter the home by flying in, entering through cracks/holes in your home, or by hitching a ride on containers from outside depending on the species. These pests carry allergens and bacteria which can trigger asthma or gastrointestinal issues in certain people. They only live for a few months to a few years, depending on the species, but they can produce hundreds of offspring during that time. Cleaning your home may help deter them from heading inside, but they’ll enter for shelter or water as well. It’s best to keep up on regular pest control treatments that include baits when dealing with roaches, and taking care of any holes they could come through.
