Let’s talk about brown patch. Brown patch is a type of fungus that plagues our area this time of year, showing up as circular patches of brown grass. St. Augustine grass it more susceptible to this fungus than the other common grasses in this area. When we get major swings in temperatures like we’ve seen these last couple of weeks added to the moisture we’re getting, fungus is absolutely thriving. It’s important to treat any fungus in your yard before it has a chance to take off and kill large portions of your lawn. It moves quickly and can ruin a beautiful yard in no time. We hope this helps, and check out our knowledge base for more tips: matthewslandscape.com/search
