We’re having warmer temperatures early this year, which means you might be able to see the start of lawn fungus. The daytime highs and nighttime lows right now can increase the chances of fungus in your lawn as well. You’ll want to be on the lookout for highlighter green grass, or circular patches of brown once your grass comes out of dormancy. These are signs of root rot or brown patch fungus. Early applications of fungicide can help slow the spread of lawn fungus and protect the rest of the yard.

If you start to see something unusual with your yard, you may want to contact a professional to make sure it’s fungus and not chinch bugs or other lawn stressors. We hope this helps! If you need a lawn care expert, give us a call at 318-286-0967. We’d be happy to help. Have a great rest of your day!
