Bad Bed Prep

by | Apr 5, 2023 | Articles, Newsletters | 0 comments

Here is an example of poor bed prep work. Sometimes plants in your landscape may not thrive. If there is no obvious reason for it (fungus, pests, or too much or too little sun) take a look at the soil. Most of the time, especially with new construction homes, the landscape portion is done as quickly as possible. The plants get put into the ground with a thin layer of topsoil over clay. Not much thrives in clay. So, it is important to make sure your flower bed is prepped the correct way, especially if you’re on top of a clay base. Hope this helps!
