Be proactive about take all root rot. This fungus definitely lives up to it’s name and will take your entire yard before you know it. Make sure you’re keeping an eye out. Be looking for unusual “highlighter” colors like lime green and yellow in your yard. This is typically the first sign. Another sign to be on the look out for is small baseball sized spots of dead grass. This is a sign that pops up when the fungus has gone on for a while. At this stage, you’ll probably lose a bit more grass than you’d like. It is important to treat the area. After the fungus is gone, the best way to help your grass recover is to bring in some top soil, fertilize the area and if possible, aeration always helps!
