With the arrival of fall we can expect cooler weather, sweaters, and pumpkin spice! It’s easy to think that the lawn and landscape world goes dormant with the grass, but I assure we are very much awake and taking care of business. It is a good time of year to go ahead and trim any shrubs that need it, replace mulch or pine straw, and even planting fall annual flowers. Make sure you’re also checking for bugs in your landscape beds. Believe it or not, bugs are a year round issue. In the lawn it’s important to maintain your program; you really want your grass to go dormant in good conditions. Keep an eye out for fungus as well because it is going to take off soon.
