What’s Going on With Zinnias?

Many people love vinca and zinnias this time of year, but our rainy springs make it hard for them to thrive. When it rains as much as it has recently, without time between rains for them to dry out, plants can get root rot. Vincas and zinnias are particularly prone to getting it, which leaves people with dead or rough looking flowers. Some alternatives that do well with our wet/humid springs, but also tolerate our very hot summers include pentas, bronze leaf begonias, angelonias, and lantanas.
