Plant of the Week: Rosemallow Hibiscus

Rachel’s here to tell us about our plant of the week: Rosemallow hibiscus! This tropical looking plant produces big, light pink flowers with a dark darker pink in the center. It attracts pollinators such moths, Common Checkered Skippers, Pearly Wood Nymphs, and especially butterflies. Some butterflies only lay their eggs on rosemallow, making it their host plant!

Rosemallow prefers sunny, wet areas and flowers beautifully in the heat of summer. It’s slow to grow, so be patient, but once it blooms you’re in for a show!
