We seek a skilled and proactive Human Resources Specialist to join our team and support our expanding workforce.

Job summary

As an HR Specialist, you will oversee all aspects of our most valuable resource, our people. Our team is truly the heart of this business, and their well-being is a vital responsibility! This includes recruitment, team member relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and ensuring a positive and efficient work culture. You will play a key role in supporting the company’s mission of creating a positive, productive, and safe workplace for all employees.

Key responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee the complete recruitment process, from posting job openings to conducting preliminary interviews for managers and onboarding new hires.

Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Guide employees on benefits options.

Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including time off, overtime, and benefits deductions.

Employee Engagement: Launch initiatives to enhance team member satisfaction, retention, and morale through recognition programs, events, and surveys.

Training & Development: Coordinate training sessions and workshops to boost employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Identify opportunities for professional growth.

Performance Management: Aid in creating and executing performance review systems, including providing feedback and facilitating performance improvement plans.

 – Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Maintain accurate employee records and keep required documentation current.

Health & Safety: Collaborate with management to guarantee a safe and healthy workplace, supporting compliance with OSHA standards and promoting safety initiatives.

 

Qualifications

– Degree or Certificates in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred).

– Experience in HR or a related role, ideally in a service-oriented or trade industry (preferred).

– Knowledge of labor laws, employment practices, and HR best practices (preferred).

– Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Extrovert! 

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

– Proficient in HR software and payroll systems (preferred). 

– Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

– While not required, being bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus.
