Spring is an important time for treating your lawn, so you can make sure your grass thrives throughout the year. Herbicides, fertilization, and mowing weekly all help promote healthy grass.

Another set of lawn treatments we recommend are core aeration and topdressing. Core aeration is where we use a machine to punch tiny holes in the lawn, then spread a layer of topsoil over it. This breaks up the soil, which reduces compaction and allows air, water, and nutrients to flow better. It also helps water flow deeper in the soil, which promotes healthier, deeper root growth, and can help grass resist drought. Lastly, this can reduce thatch buildup on top of the lawn.

Adding fresh topsoil over the grass introduces nutrients and helps fill in the cores left by the aeration.

Especially in yards that struggle with compaction, core aeration can make a huge difference in the appearance and health of your yard. If you have any questions about lawn care, let us know!
