Many of you have heard of landscape fabric or weed fabric, but we wanted to tell you why we DON’T use it at our business.

1. The fabric deteriorates after about 6 months

2. The areas around the plants that don’t have fabric still allow weeds

3. It hinders water from getting to your plants’ roots

4. It limits oxygen getting to your plants

5. Fertilizer tends to collect on top of the landscape fabric instead of going into the soil

6. After about 6 months, weeds start growing on top of the landscape fabric anyway
