David went out in the rain to show the drains he has in his yard and how they work. During flash flooding like this, there will be some standing water while the drain catches up to the amount of rain we’re getting. Also as you can see, water picks up leaves, thatch, and other debris, which can clog your drains. If it’s not too bad, you can wait until the rain passes and go out to clear it away with a rake or your boot. A drainage system is a great option if your yard has issues with standing water.

Oversaturated yards can lead to lawn fungus, pests in your grass and home, and overall stress to the lawn. We hope this was informative! Huge thanks to David for recording these videos in the rain. If you have any questions, send them our way! We do install drainage systems, so if you’re interested or just want to know more, feel free to call us at 318-286-0967.
