It’s still hot and dry out, which means it’s time for more summer lawn watering tips. We want to stress the importance of deep watering instead of shallow watering when it comes to your grass.

You can see the soil layers in the core sample: grass, thatch, and then the roots start. Watering for longer periods at a time instead of every day for short periods of time encourages your roots to grow deeper into the soil looking for water. Deeper roots withstand heat, drought, and other stressors much easier than shallow roots. Don’t let the summer ruin your lawn!
