It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around town! LED bulbs are incredibly popular for Christmas lights nowadays, for good reason.
LEDs use about 90% less electricity, and the bulbs can last up to 25 times longer. At the same time, you can plug in thousands of LED bulbs into one breaker, versus only being able to plug in hundreds of incandescent bulbs. In terms of durability, it’s easier to break incandescent bulbs if dropped or jostled, while LEDs tend to bounce more.
When they first came out, LEDs were associated with mostly cold, white lights. Now, though, these lights come in all colors and can even look exactly like classic warm white lights.
