Be proactive, not reactive when it comes to weeds
The best way to prevent weeds in your lawn is by applying pre-emergent herbicides. Pre-emergents prevent weeds from growing before they breach the surface of the soil without damaging your grass. Preventing weeds is much easier than trying to get rid of them once they’re in your yard and have started spreading.
The main thing to remember is that timing is KEY when it comes to pre-emergents. For it to be effective, you’ll need to apply it to the grass before weeds start germinating. For example, we apply specific pre-emergents in the fall to prevent weeds that are a problem in winter and spring.
