How to get rid of weeds in your lawn

As soon as we have consistently warmer weather, lawns are going to green up. One of the questions we get asked all the time is how to get rid of weeds/prevent them and achieve a healthy yard.

The best way to avoid having weeds is by using pre-emergents. Pre-emergent herbicides prevent weeds from growing while still in the soil. This is less labor and time-intensive than trying to control weeds once they sprout. Timing is key, so you need to spray the lawn before the weeds you’re trying to prevent germinate.

On top of this, properly mowing, watering, and fertilizing will encourage deeper, healthier roots, and avoid having stressed grass.
