Here’s David building a backflow prevention device for one of our clients.

What is a backflow prevention device? This device assures that dirty irrigation water cannot be back siphoned into our drinking water. If you have a sprinkler system or pool, you probably have one.

A backflow usually occurs when something causes significant change in water pressure. A number of sources can cause this, such as a break in the main water line, heavy demand on water from firefighters, etc. Without proper prevention in place, your drinking water might become unsafe.

Here in Louisiana, the state requires backflow prevention devices be inspected once a year by a licensed technician. We perform these tests for a $100 flat fee if you’re due for an inspection.
